The 48 Laws and how they have been applied on Wynn
Drew1011
Law 1: Never outshine the master
Although for over a year I outshined Ari in foreign affairs, I always made sure that other leaders knew that she was the one I answered to so that she wouldn’t feel too outshined. Along with this, I almost entirely stopped handling internal affairs and let Ari deal with those so that she would still have all of the guild’s attention. This law is important, especially when dealing with Ari. She loves attention and authority, do not take too much away from her or she will grow jealous and want to replace you.
Law 2: Never put too much trust in friends, learn how to use enemies.
Speaks for itself...there are very few friends in guilds that I will trust without question. Enemies are more reliable, such as turning Tnt’s stupidity with spies against him to instantly figure out that the spy was a dragoon.
Law 3: Conceal your intentions
Did anyone expect me to ally with War Syndicate when AA left? Is anyone other than myself that has ever been truly certain of my intentions? Is anyone even certain about what I will do when I resign? Don’t let anyone know the entirety of your intentions, you are more of a threat if you are unpredictable.
Law 4: Always say less than necessary
In debates I will only speak if I am certain in my opinion. There is a reason I never entered into so many debates in the Federation leader chat. It is better to say less than to say more and be seen as a fool.
Law 5: So much depends on reputation, guard it with your life
My struggle against Tnt was a war of reputation. I always prevailed because I was better at protecting mine than he was. If he had been better at guarding his reputation, he might have actually been able to overcome my own and steal the top Federation guilds like he wanted. This law is the reason so many leaders are still loyal and see me as a friend.
Law 6: Court attention at all costs
It is better to be insulted by your enemies than to be ignored by them. Staying on top of Federation was the ultimate way I did this, nothing else ever came close.
Law 7: Get others to do the work for you, but always take the credit
Notice how I never even warred for Federation or did more than talk to the leaders but I was still seen by everyone as the mastermind behind it?
Law 8: Make other people come to you, use bait if necessary
I don’t like messaging people first for guild stuff unless I have to. I prefer others to initiate the conversation.
Law 9: Win through your actions, never through argument.
Did I spend my time attempting to argue with AA to end up getting my way, or did I unite two alliances and crush them? Did I spend all my time arguing against Tnt and convincing him Federation was better than him, or did I just not speak to him often and keep showing him through wars how weak he was?
Law 10: Infection. Avoid the unhappy and the unlucky.
I struggle with this law. By my very nature I always want to help those that are unhappy or down on their luck, and many times it has backfired on me. I can give no advice for this one, I have still yet to overcome it.
