Hello,
For some context, there is currently an ongoing large-scale conflict between Artemis, the map-holder alliance, and a currently unnamed group of anti-Artemis guilds. There'll also be mentions of a funny little thing called "numpad spamming", which consists of using numbers 1 through 6 on your numpad whilst hovering over the "Attack Territory" button to send loads of requests to the server to take over a territory. Numpad spamming, and other tools/actions to spam the server with requests to take over a territory have become an integral part of guilds, as they greatly assist a guild in sniping 0 defence territories; A majority of dedicated warrers have used things to assist them with sniping in the past, whether or not they would like to admit it.
Now, the issue is the seemingly biased and undoubtedly extremely poorly timed of two members of a guild from the anti-Artemis alliance over "Macros/Autoclicker". The two people in question have said they were numpad spamming, something that is publicly known to be NOT bannable and allowed by moderation. A moderator affiliated with a major Artemis guild banning two prominent members of the most active anti-Artemis guild for something virtually EVERYONE uses or has used in the past has left an extremely bitter taste in many of our mouths, and raised questions as to whether or not moderators are truly impartial third parties to guilds related issues, or if they favour those affiliated with themselves. If there was no bias involved in this, then dozens of people from both sides of this conflict should have been banned for the exact same thing. As far as I am aware, there is also no way to distinguish things like autoclickers from drag clicking.
The root of the problem boils down to the moderation team failing to adapt to the modern way guilds operate even though many Moderators come from guilds, and a lack of set-in-stone rules for guilds related issues, which lead to Moderators having to basically make something up on the spot, leading to conflicting statements on what is and isn't allowed depending on who you ask.
With all this being said, can we be reassured that moderators will remain an impartial third party when it comes to guilds? Can we be sure that everyone who has a "high win rate" when it comes to sniping will be investigated and treated equally regardless of whom they're affiliated with? Today's events really demotivated many of us, and I really think the Moderator Team should try to be more concrete on rules when it comes to guilds.
NOTE: Please do not go out of your way to name drop or harass the moderator involved. They do not deserve to get shit on for mishandling an issue - this issue goes much deeper than just one person

I'd like to clarify that there is public proof that at least 1 of them was using a macro to spam messages- even as a harmless joke, it's still bannable to use a macro for anything other than single click spell inputs (like Wynntils uses)

Hello,
I'm closing this thread
This thread has spiraled out of control way too quickly.
The valid criticism was fine but the useless content on this thread is way too crazy.

Hello,
I'm going to reopen this thread. If you don't have anything productive to say don't say it.
Please keep the conversation civil and on topic. If it spirals out of control again I will close this thread for good. This is your final warning.

it's not exactly a failure or bias if we all agree that there's a certain limit that a human can num pad spam per second, without assistance
being a sponge i wouldn't know that limit
EDIT:
You talk about bias from moderators in artemis but i see everyone skimming over the fact that you're on the side against artemis and you're making these claims

I don't think its fair to come after the moderation team for bias. It is against their values to have bias in any case regarding rules of the game.
And the rules are quite clear, and they merely enforce it. Regardless if macros were used to gain an unfair advantage in the war feature, which it is evident that it was, here is what else was violated:
5. Do not spam.
Spam is sending messages extremely quickly or sending messages with no useful content in an attempt to clutter chat. (This includes through /p, /r, /msg, /g, /report and shouts.)
This is undeniable, and was also an offense by the player - in which macros were also used to accomplish.
Moderators will not ban players without reason. Mods should also be able to participate in guilds just like any other player without being accused of bias and other slander.

When a guild gets outsniped 10 times while having 4 guild members on the flag vs 1 person it is reasonable to be suspicious and do some investigating. Especially in a large scale event like this, where abusing an unfair advantage can really turn the tides. If you got outsniped several times by 1 person over and over despite you having several guild members at the flag, I wholeheartly will support your choice to contact staff and have them investigate. Its only fair right? It's up to people to report the issue to the staff because the staff are only a small group of people compared to the amount of players.
In fact, you should appreciate that the staff member who is associated with a major guild that had STOPPED defending their claims in order to investigate a rule breaker as a staff member should. Props to them for putting their job first.
And please do not say that these people are falsely banned when there is public proof of one, and assumingly proof of the other. I believe Wynncraft Staff members must have proof before they can ban someone, and if those people decide to appeal the evidence against them will most likely be looked at once again (as I have been staff on several servers before that is typically how most appeal systems work)
If you ask me what I think the root of the problem about the Moderation team is, I would say it's their lack of communication, being on the same page, and keeping the players up to date with the rules. (Numpad spamming used to be allowed, then against the rules for a short while, then it was allowed again for example)
As far as guild bias in the staff team I have seen a few cases where staff have overlooked things their guild members have done before, or have given them an extra warning at times. But it does not happen often *from what I have seen*.
I see more bias from staff members against guilds all together than for staff members with a soft spot for their members to be honest.
How about instead of fighting over something stupid as this whole macro thing, you let the staff deal with their rule breakers and you complain about something more worthwhile that will effect the entire guild community on both sides such as updated rules, or even more specific rules so that us as a guild player base is not left in the dark relying on "he said, she said" statements.
Its not everyday I stand up for the Wynncraft Mod team, but I certainly understand at least a few of your concerns. But like I said above this energy should be focused on something more than just because of a big Artemis War.
But thats just my opinion.

honestly i am just going to say this based off of what ethereal said in wynn discord, which is th a t if there isnt concrete p roof of che a ting, people wouldnt g et banned. obviously, there is a screenshot of pretty concrete pr oo f of cheating that has been ma d e public, a t least reg a rding one of the p l a yers in question. i wasnt around for much of the raid today but heard numerous stories of multiple people from one artemis g uild numpad spamming very quickly l o sing snipes t o just a single person from an enemy guil d . obviously bans can t be made just off of suspicion, but this suspicion c a n p rompt mods to t a ke a deeper look into the le g itimacy o f the pe o ple in question. it just so happene d t hat a lot of these accusations were being made against people from your guilds due to the high volume of suspicious snipe victories.

also this^ looking at it from a more long term p erspective, providing feedb a ck on the updates coming to g uilds is much m o re w o rth time an d energy t han this, as it's going to affect the whole community as well as the entire future of how guilds interact with each other going forwards. not saying your concerns aren't valid, it's totally reason a ble to p oint out concerns with the moder a tion team so that they can provide a fair experience for us all, but it's better for everyone to focus ener g y on m o re l o ng-term issues that affect the whole community rather than coming after the mo d t eam in defense of two cheaters.

From the responses to this thread, it appears that the reason people in question got banned only got banned because they posted public proof of themselves autoclicking or autospamming. I think it's fair to state/ask a few things once we have this info. I have two things I would like voice.
1: Some people in this thread should probably stop acting like sheepn knew they were using such insane rates. If he knew they were clicking like 5k per second he woulda said in the thread and probably not posted at all. He simply didn't have some crucial info and it was a misunderstanding, so I think some people should relax a bit. We can have mature discussion here, as some people already are.
2: Given that people had to post proof of themselves cheating for anything to happen, I think it is fair to voice some concern over the system of moderation of this issue. Not necessarily bias, but why it is a rule at all if they cannot enforce it properly (to my knowledge) without people incriminating themselves. Is that really effective? If you have to post proof of yourself cheating to get banned, then why is this a rule at all if the mods are basically powerless in the first place. It just ends in the majority of guilty people not being banned, while a small few are. That doesn't sound like an effective system to me. I am not voicing concern with the mods here, but the system instead. I'm sure people would get punished if the mods were aware of them doing so, but I question if that is possible here.
I'm not arguing much for the second point, moreso questioning. Are there any systems in place which allow this issue to be moderated in a consistent and proper manner? Please lemme know if anyone is more informed than I on this issue.
