Aurelion is the only early guild era alliance whose membership timeline is recorded to the day.

History

House of Sentinels, founded on 2 July 2016 and describing itself as "a place of respite for those who need it", named itself "a member guild of Aurelion, a community alliance", with a dated join for each member^[1]:

The alliance ran a Discord server open enough that outsiders used it as a point of contact: an applicant to House of Sentinels wrote on 30 April 2017 that "when I went on the Aurelion Discord, I asked if I could claim refugee status and someone told me to apply"^[2] — the last mention of Aurelion anywhere, and a sign it was still operating that spring.

House of Sentinels' 2017 council was Pyrias, Pretzule, wrxryuu, Killerfish, ChaChaChaChino and 01100110111;^[1] by 30 April 2017 Pretzule led it and it had begun "focusing on warring with other guilds and maintaining territory";^[3] and it went on to become one of the four founding guilds of the Coalition in October 2017.^[4]

Membership

The four guilds above are the complete known membership. No founding announcement was ever posted, and who led the alliance was never recorded.

Legacy

Aurelion left no record of warring, no dissolution notice and no successor. Its interest lies in what it says about the road to the Coalition: seven months before that alliance was founded, its future core guild was already the anchor of a small community bloc with its own Discord, recruiting refugees from collapsing guilds. Dragons Arise belonged in the same period to another community alliance, Lux Imperius^[5] — an illustration of how loosely these 2016-17 community pacts overlapped.
