Vesta was a fourteen-guild Wynncraft alliance created on 10 December 2015 by 3zPz from the remnants of Concordia. Larger on paper than Ordo Malleus, it fought no recorded campaign and was declared dead a month later. Later retellings misdated its founding to 2016.

3zPz, leader of the guild Historical [UEZ], formed Vesta out of what remained of Concordia after its defeat by Ordo Malleus[1]. It was the larger alliance at the time it formed — fourteen guilds against Ordo's dozen — and it is remembered chiefly for having done nothing.

The date

Both narrative sources give the year as 2016, and both are wrong. Drew1011's account opens the chapter "On December 10th, 2016", and the community guild-timeline image circulated on the forums carries the same error — "December 10 2016 — Vesta was created"[2]; but Drew1011's own next sentence has the alliance "declared dead exactly one month later on January 10th, 2016"[3]. The Wynncraft forums' alliance-prefix thread index settles it: the thread "--vesta Alliance--" was posted by 3zPz on 10 December 2015, ran to four pages and 70 replies with 9,191 views, was locked, and was last posted in by 3zPz on 19 March 2016[4]. The surrounding chronology agrees — the alliance was built from Concordia, which ended in November 2015, and Gavel was released on 21 December 2015[5]. A guild member applying to rejoin Holders of LE in 2018 recalled independently that the guild "was at war with Vesta" before Gavel's release[6]. Vesta was created on 10 December 2015 and declared dead on 10 January 2016.

History

Drew1011, then leading Holders of LE inside Ordo Malleus, wrote that the new alliance was initially treated as a serious threat: "At first we were concerned for the future of the alliance and worried about what would happen if this alliance began to hold organized attacks against us. However, they did nothing. Aside from a few small skirmishes, Vesta barely even existed"[7]. He recorded it as "officially declared dead exactly one month later on January 10th"[8]. The thread nonetheless remained open and was posted in by its author as late as 19 March 2016[4].

The characterisation of Vesta as inert comes from a leader of the rival alliance; no account from Vesta itself survives. No Vesta campaign was ever recorded, though at least one guild remembered being at war with it[6].

Three of the fourteen appear again in later history: TheNoLifes and IceBlue Team both resurface years later, and Travellers and Da Classy Goats appear as territory holders on the 2015 territory maps[10]. Vesta predates the machine-recorded alliance logs, which begin in January 2018.

Legacy

Vesta was the last organised attempt to build a counterweight to Ordo Malleus, and its collapse left Ordo unopposed until it broke apart on its own on 9 March 2016[11]. Its founder, 3zPz, had by then passed through three alliances in as many months — Concordia, Ordo Malleus and Vesta[12].
