Wynncraft guilds can register each other as allies inside the game. It is a game-mechanical status — it sets a tax rate between their territories and lets them run guild raids together — and it does not indicate a political alliance.
Guilds have been able to set each other as allies in game since version 1.20 of 20 January 2021 (see The Diplomacy update)[1]. The status applies the ally tax rate to the other guild's territories[2], and from 2026 lets allied guilds run guild raids together[3] — which is what it is mainly used for.
Registering an ally requires no political alignment and is neither announced nor explained anywhere outside the game. Guilds registered as in-game allies may be rivals, and may have recently fought each other, so these records cannot be read as blocs, pacts or reconciliations, and none of the wars of the private-diplomacy era can be reconstructed from them.
From June 2026 the ally system produced the first records of guild relationships made by software rather than written down by a person: Sequoia's open-source client mod began capturing the game's "formed/revoked an alliance with" chat lines, and from 30 July 2026 snapshotting a guild's ally list to a private backend[4]. The individual registrations it captured are routine and are not recorded here.
