tangler was a chief of the guild Validus in 2015 and the recruiter for its alliance Concordia. On 16 August 2015 he declared hostilities against Holders of LE, and in November 2015 he opened the "Odeus Anti-Validus Pact" alliance thread.

Recruiting for Validus and its alliance Concordia, tangler opened contact with Holders of LE on 5 July 2015, messaging its leadership after noticing it warring against Kangronomicon[1]. Drew1011 described months of correspondence with him about bringing down Kangronomicon and Nether's Ascent, and wrote that Validus attempted to war alongside Holders of LE once, and that tangler "crashed after the very first war and didn't keep trying"[2]. He added, of the same person, "I still have a lot of respect for him"[3].

When Holders of LE defected to Kangronomicon on 14 August 2015, tangler added its leadership to a forum group chat and set out the consequence. His post — user title "The Mythical Rebel with Slayer V", bylined 16 August 2015 — reads in part: "I've been saying that Drew's betrayal has greatly limited our options … So, I'm not inclined to try to persuade Ezura to give Drew another chance, and will act on his instructions accordingly. What a waste, now we all get to fight while TNA laughs . . . I give you an hour's notice, an hour more than Drew gave me."[4] The upper half of the same post quotes Ezura, Validus's leader, reacting to the defection; Drew1011 wrote that the quotation "was later revealed" to have been edited from an unrelated exchange[5].

On 28 November 2015 he opened the thread "Come Join! The Odeus Anti-Validus Pact"; it ran to 24 replies and 5,259 views before being locked, the moderator Mekyr making its last post on 29 November 2015[6]. The thread's text does not survive, and why a Validus chief authored a pact named against his own guild was never recorded.
