The Simple Ones [ILQ] was created on 5 Feb 2019 by Goatylicious, Saethar, GrandAdmiralAce_ and _Infected_gaming, "as a way to find more people to play and have fun with"[1][2] — nine days before Luna formed. It joined Luna around the alliance's founding, though only its departure was documented.[3]

History

Founding and the Aetherius merger (2019)

Three days after it was founded, on 8 February 2019, the guild merged with XeraAndromeda's [Aeu] The Aetherius[1]. XeraAndromeda held the guild thereafter: the thread's roster of September 2020 gives her as owner under the title "Empress", GrandAdmiralAce_ as "Crown Prince" and chief, and four more officers as a "Parliament" of barons and baronesses[1]. The same roster claims membership of a "Wynnic Union community alliance"[4].

The defection that decided a war (2019)

The Simple Ones signed the Treaty of Ternaves on 6 Jul 2019 with Kingdom Foxes and ThisIsMurica, splitting the territory of the dissolved Celestial Tigers.[3] Two months later came its decisive act in the alliance wars of 2019: on 8 Sep 2019, mid-war, it defected from Luna to Terra — and Terra took control of the map the same day.[5] It then co-founded the Council of Canyon Kingdoms on 15 Sep 2019, staying to its 23 Nov collapse, and co-founded Horologium on 1 Dec 2019, which died with DiamondDeities' disbandment on 8 Jan 2020.[3]

The Empire of Nemract (2020-2021)

On 17 Aug 2020 The Simple Ones formed the Empire of Nemract, a political union with Mystic Woods later branded 'The Empire of Nemract | ILQ + Aeu', whose empress held court titles ('Empress of Nemract, Queen of Aphelion').{{cite:https://forums.wynncraft.com/threads/278123/|Wynncraft forums thread 278123, Empire of Nemract branding}} The union was last mentioned in August 2021; the two guilds never fought each other, and the union may have persisted quietly.[7] On 21 May 2021 ILQ signed the Treaty of Damask, under which Nefarious Ravens declared independence.[3]

The blocs (2021-2023)

The Simple Ones was a founding member of Valhalla on 11 May 2021 and followed it into Vanir.[3] At the start of Season 8 (autumn 2022) it joined the renamed 'Smtn else' — later smtn elf — remaining until the alliance's quiet end in mid-2023.[8]
