The Empire of Nemract ran community events through 2021, and its guild thread carried the Empire branding until July 2023.

History

The union was formed on 17 August 2020 by The Simple Ones [ILQ] and Mystic Woods.^[1] From 30 November 2020 it was branded “The Empire of Nemract | ILQ + Aeu”^[2]; the “Aeu” tag belonged to Admiralia.^[3] Admiralia was a member from that rebrand; whether Mystic Woods was renamed or replaced at that point was never recorded. Its empress held court titles (“Empress of Nemract, Queen of Aphelion”), and the Empire hosted community events through 2021.

The court

The Empire's apparatus was ceremonial and unusually elaborate. Its thread names twelve officers under noble titles — the empress XeraAndromeda as owner, Crown Prince GrandAdmiralAce_ and Chancellor Count MightyShaper as chiefs, and nine more ranked count, viscount, viscountex, baroness or baron — each carrying post-nominal letters for the Empire's own orders, awarded in up to three grades^[3]. The same post claims membership of three alliances: Kanzeon, the Concorde and smtn elf^[4].

Warring was never the point. Recruits were asked to be "somewhat active in our community" and told that "participation in guild wars are completely optional though preferred", and those accepted were invited to The Simple Ones, named as "our main guild"^[3]. The thread's member lists link to The Simple Ones and Admiralia, and to no third guild^[3]. All of this describes the Empire late — the opening post was edited in place, and its last state is dated 18 April 2023.

The guild thread ran on under the Empire branding through September 2021, 2022 and into 2023; its last post is dated 18 July 2023.^[5] No dissolution was ever announced. The Simple Ones and Mystic Woods exchanged only about thirty territories across six years — they never fought.^[6]

The Empire of Nemract is the era's clearest example of a small ceremonial community alliance operating alongside — and untouched by — the great war blocs of 2020–2021. Both members continued independently; The Simple Ones went on through Valhalla, Vanir and later smtn elf, while remaining at peace with its old partner throughout.^[7]
