smtn elf was the final name of the merged super-alliance descended from Cucumber Company: renamed 'Smtn else' at the start of Season 8 (autumn 2022), then 'smtn elf' for Christmas 2022, and never changed back. Sixteen guilds strong at its peak, it died in June 2023 when The Aquarium and Avicia walked out, and by August it was gone entirely.

History
From Cucumber to elf
At the start of Season 8 “Cucumber was archived. The new alliance name is called Smtn else,” recorded the Titan Times, which also reported Gang of Fools having “left and betrayed the alliance” and welcomed Paladins United, The Simple Ones and TerraLune.[1][2] For Christmas 2022 “Smtn else” became “smtn elf” and was never renamed back[3]; by 17 February 2023 a forum thread was calling it “unquestionably the greatest super-alliance of 2023” — a tongue-in-cheek thread, but the name and the bloc's scale were real.[4] Season 8 brought a rename rather than a reformation, and the full Cucumber roster carried through it.[5][6]
2023
Mid-season, busted moments joined (a brief stint, over by the end of May), Nefarious Ravens left “on account of the guild disbanding” — its last territory exchange was 9 March 2023[7] — and Idiot Co, which joined that spring, held alliance territory.[8]
The end
In June 2023 The Aquarium and Avicia quit, rejecting pressure — led by busted moments — to shrink their territorial claims: the Avocado split.[3] The alliance was last mentioned in Avicia's Season 12 post of 10 June 2023 (“To our other allies in smtn elf... thank you for the hqs”)[9]; the Season 13 post of 19 August 2023 did not mention it at all.[10] No dissolution was ever announced, and the remaining guilds never fought each other — smtn elf did not break up so much as quietly cease to be.[7]
Membership
The roster carried over from Cucumber Company at the Season 8 rename; joins date to around the season boundary.[5]
Legacy
smtn elf was the last of the public super-alliances, and its unannounced death is the private-diplomacy era in miniature: no roster, no dissolution notice, just silence between two season posts. Its collapse set up the Avocado Aquarium pact and the wars that followed.[5]
