Valhalla was the dominant war alliance of mid-to-late 2021, formed on 11 May 2021 by thirteen guilds — including The Aquarium — out of the simultaneous collapse of Goose and Artemis. It took map control within days and held it until its members reorganized as Vanir on 28 November 2021.

History

Founding

On 11 May 2021, in The Great Collapse, Goose and Artemis dissolved on the same day. Thirteen guilds — drawn from Goose's broad membership together with Artemis alumni such as Titans Valor — formed Valhalla, with Guardian of Wynn joining immediately after the founding.[1] A megalist post of 25 May 2021 reported the reorganization: “the two major alliances both disbanded and got new names… Valhalla and Kaos”.[2] No public roster was ever posted — the megalist's alliance rosters lived in a Google Sheet that does not survive.[1] Valhalla is the first alliance membership recorded for The Aquarium.[3]

Dominance

Valhalla took map control from Goose's remnants in mid-May 2021 and dominated for the rest of the year while fighting the Valhalla-Khaos war.[1] A forum post of 25 September 2021 summed up its standing: “the meta of being top 10 on the guild sr leaderboard is to join valhalla”.[4]

Betrayal and reorganization

Friction with two members, The Mage Legacy and TheNoLifes, appears to have begun in August 2021. Both turned openly on their allies — December 2021 saw 5,359 territory exchanges as the fighting erupted[5] — and when ten Valhalla guilds reorganized as Vanir on 28 November 2021, both were excluded.[1] TheNoLifes went on to help lead Khaos.[6] No formal Valhalla dissolution was ever recorded; Vanir's founding marks its end.[3]

Legacy

Valhalla headed the alliance line that ran Goose–Valhalla–Vanir and, after the winter war with Khaos, fed the 2022 realignment into Cucumber Company.[3] Its era also marks the closing of the public record: it was the first dominant alliance whose roster never appeared in public.
