Wynncraft's in-game guild ally system, introduced in version 1.20 (2021). Allying is a game-mechanical relationship — an ally tax rate, and from 2026 the ability for allied guilds to run Guild Raids together — rather than a political alliance, though from June 2026 its events became the first machine-readable record of guild relationships.

Wynncraft has had an in-game guild ally system since version 1.20 'Gavel Reborn' (20 January 2021)[1][2]. Allying is a game-mechanical status rather than a declaration: it interacts with the territory system through the ally tax rate charged on an allied guild's territories[3], and a Diplomacy menu in the guild UI lists a guild's allies (up to 16, per the Sequoia mod's snapshot feature)[4]. Setting a guild as an ally does not indicate a political alliance — allied guilds may be rivals or recent belligerents — and the in-game menu played no recorded part in the realignment-era or private-diplomacy-era blocs.

What the system is chiefly for became explicit in 2026. Version 2.2.1 (12 June 2026) added the change 'Guild Allies can now do Guild Raids together'{{cite:https://wynncraft.wiki.gg/wiki/Version_2.2.1|Official Wynncraft Wiki, 'Version 2.2.1' (12 Jun 2026)}}, which is the point of the feature as it is used: two guilds register as allies so that their members can run guild raids as one group. The feature is also dated to version 2.2.2 of 10 July 2026[6]; the wiki's changelogs attribute it to 2.2.1{{cite:https://wynncraft.wiki.gg/wiki/Version_2.2.2|Official Wynncraft Wiki, 'Version 2.2.2' (10 Jul 2026)}}.

The same month, Sequoia's open-source client mod began parsing the in-game 'formed/revoked an alliance with' chat broadcasts (commit of 12 June 2026)[8], the first such records made by software rather than written down by a person[9]. From 30 July 2026 the mod auto-snapshots the Diplomacy menu to Sequoia's private backend, a growing machine-readable archive that is not publicly accessible[10]. The official API exposed no alliance field as of 2 September 2026[11], so the in-game record remains readable only through such tooling.
