On 18 Dec 2021 Emorians, Nefarious Ravens, IceBlue Team and Avicia left Vanir and the alliance collapsed, twenty days after forming. Niflheim officially dissolved the same day.
Vanir was formed on 28 Nov 2021 by ten Valhalla guilds — including The Aquarium — as a reorganization of the bloc that had dominated the map since May. Guardian of Wynn and Nefarious Ravens were invited on 1 Dec[1]. It did not survive its first month.
The collapse
On 18 Dec 2021 Emorians, Nefarious Ravens, IceBlue Team and Avicia left, and the alliance collapsed — twenty days after forming. Why they left was never recorded. Niflheim, the community alliance that had run alongside the war blocs since 2020, officially dissolved the same day[2].
Aftermath
Vanir's fall left the ex-Valhalla world without a named alliance while the Valhalla-Khaos war still ran. The former members fought on against Khaos through the winter as a coalition that was never formally named — remembered as "the Pineapple Pact"[3] (Khaos's last war)[4]. The realignment that followed in spring 2022 produced Cucumber Company, which reunited most of Vanir's guilds with their former Khaos enemies[5]. Vanir proved to be the last formally-announced successor of the Valhalla line.
