Founding

On 11 May 2021 Goose and Artemis collapsed on the same day. While thirteen guilds formed Valhalla, nine formed Khaos: Aequitas, Wheres The Finish, Nerfuria, Tartarus Wrath, Ultra Violet, Fuzzy Spiders, ChinaNumberOne, Cyphrus Code and Eden — most of them the bloc that had joined Goose in its final spring.^[1] Tartarus Wrath was created days after the founding and joined mid-May; Cyphrus Code's stint appears to have lasted only until late May.^[2]

A megalist post of 25 May 2021 announced that “the two major alliances both disbanded and got new names… Valhalla and Kaos”.^[3] No public Khaos roster was ever posted; by then alliance rosters lived in a private Google Sheet.^[1]

The war with Valhalla and Vanir

The Valhalla-Khaos war began the day both blocs formed and outlasted Valhalla itself, with Vanir inheriting the opposing side.^[1] TheNoLifes — excluded from Vanir after turning on its Valhalla allies — joined Khaos around December 2021, becoming one of its leading guilds^[4] and erupting against the ex-Valhalla guilds that month.^[2] The war peaked in January 2022 at 500–800 territory exchanges per week^[2] against an opposing coalition known as “the Pineapple Pact”^[4], then faded through the spring.

End

No dissolution was ever announced. Fighting faded to nothing by mid-July 2022^[2], and when the fourteen-guild Cucumber Company roster was posted to the megalist on 26 June 2022, replacing the old alliance listing, Khaos was gone, with several of its guilds, Aequitas among them, inside the new bloc.^[5]

Legacy

Khaos was the last opponent of the Valhalla line, and its fade set up the 2022 realignment: within months its guilds and their former enemies were trading territory as allies inside Cucumber Company.^[5]
