History

Hestia first appears on 2 December 2020: “ANO is apart of the alliances Hestia (a community alliance between ANO, ESI, LXA, and PUN) and Artemis (war alliance)”.^[1] Its founding was never documented; a June 2021 description put it at “about a year old”, placing its formation around mid-2020, and listed six members: Titans Valor, Emorians, Lux Nova, Empire of Sindria, Paladins United and HackForums.^[2]

Hestia's membership cut across the war-alliance lines of its era: in December 2020 Titans Valor was fighting inside Artemis while Paladins United stood with the opposing coalition that became Goose — yet both belonged to Hestia.^[3] As a community alliance it took no recorded part in the wars themselves.^[4]

By May 2022 Titan Times, Titans Valor's newsletter, described Hestia as declining but “still around”, and recorded Adonis being founded as a community successor.^[5] Paladins United's recruitment thread continued to list Hestia — alongside Valkyrie, “both community alliances”^[6] — until 19 September 2022, the alliance's last mention anywhere.^[7] No dissolution was ever recorded.

Legacy

Hestia is one of the clearest examples of its era's split between war and community alliances: its members fought one another under war banners while remaining social allies in Hestia. Its role passed to Adonis, founded around May 2022 by the leaders of Titans Valor and Empire of Sindria, which outlived every war alliance around it.^[5]
