smtn elf's last recorded mention is Avicia's season post of 10 Jun 2023; days later The Aquarium and Avicia walked out, and by the 19 Aug 2023 season post the super-alliance had vanished from the record — no death announcement, just silence.
smtn elf — the continuation of Cucumber Company, and the dominant super-alliance of 2023 — died without an announcement.
The fade
Its last recorded mention is Avicia's Season 12 post of 10 Jun 2023: "To our other allies in smtn elf... thank you for the hqs."[1] Days later, on 14 Jun, The Aquarium and Avicia walked out — rejecting pressure, led by busted moments, to shrink their claims[2] — and formed the two-guild Avocado Aquarium pact (The Avocado split)[3].
By Avicia's Season 13 post of 19 Aug 2023 the alliance had vanished from the record entirely. That post instead thanks "The Aquarium - our unwavering ally"; smtn elf goes unmentioned, and no death announcement by any member was ever posted[4]. The alliance's end is approximated to late June 2023[5].
A quiet dissolution
The remaining guilds never fought each other: map analysis shows no infighting among the rump through 2024 — a fade, not a violent breakup[6]. smtn elf proved to be the last of the public super-alliances; after it, diplomacy moved into private Discords (the private-diplomacy era), and no alliance of its scale was ever publicly named again.
