The Aesir Pact was a 2018 pact of sister guilds inside the Federation, "especially dedicated to Gavel, and the birth place of Aesir, the canyon." Created on 25 March 2018 by Fantasy, Sins of Seedia and IceBlue Team, its guilds were the Federation's last defenders, and Aesir died with it on 10–11 November 2018.
History
Formation
The pact was created on 25 March 2018 by Fantasy, Sins of Seedia and IceBlue Team as a bond of sister guilds within the map-dominant Federation.[1] DiamondDeities was accepted into the pact on 18 July 2018.[2] The pact's thread, posted by the Sins of Seedia leader lotuss on 5 June 2018, described Aesir as "an alliance, or if you will sister-ship pact, between 4 warring and growing community guilds". Fantasy and Sins of Seedia became friends during the War Syndicate era, were separated when Fantasy entered the Coalition and Sins of Seedia warred against it, and were reunited inside the Federation, where IceBlue Team and then DiamondDeities were added.[2]

New guilds were admitted by a vote of these leaders; the thread advised applicants to form friendships with them first, "for (voting process)".[2] Several of the same names recur in the Federation's leadership: Drew1011 credited simplyinfinity_ as the first to accept the merger proposal that created the Federation, called Viaire "perhaps the best mapmaker the alliance had", and counted Nitrogen2Oxygen and Icey_Diamond among its most trusted friends.[3]
The Fantasy anomaly
Fantasy was an Aesir founder, yet waged war on the Federation itself from May to October 2018, a conflict in which more than 220 territories were exchanged.[4] The pact survived Fantasy's exit from the Federation: Fantasy's Aesir membership ran unbroken from the founding to the end.[5] How the pact reconciled the two was never recorded.
The last defence
When the Federation began to cascade apart on 10 Nov 2018, the Aesir guilds — Sins of Seedia, DiamondDeities and IceBlue Team — were its last defenders, quitting only after 14 hours of constant warring[6] as the Federation fell on 10–11 November 2018. The community timeline records: "At this point Aesir died too."[1]

Legacy
The pact never existed apart from the Federation: it formed inside the bloc and ended at the hour of its fall. Its guilds scattered into the post-Federation world — DiamondDeities into SOL within weeks, while IceBlue Team and Fantasy resurfaced in Terra during the wars of 2019.[5]
