Terra was a short-lived Wynncraft war alliance of autumn 2019 — the bloc that broke Luna's total map control. Formed on 30 Aug 2019, it took the map on 8 Sep after The Simple Ones defected to it, and fell on 2 Nov 2019, its fragments launching one final raid on the newborn Artemis on 10 Nov.

History

Formation

Terra formed on 30 Aug 2019 in opposition to Luna, amid the Emorians–Avicia revolt that had broken out the day before[1]; several of its guilds were already fighting Luna from 25 Aug.[2]

Terra was a merger rather than a fresh founding. After Luna took the map, Arkada's guild Titans Valor joined The Ascendancy, "a small and weak band of guilds that resisted Luna through unsuccessful attacks"; as more guilds tired of Luna's reign, "small alliances similar to The Ascendancy merged together, forming a larger and more organized counter-alliance called Terra", Arkada wrote.[3] By the time of the decisive raid the merged bloc fielded "nearly 15 guilds"[4], more than the twelve otherwise recorded[5]; the roster was never published. The Ascendancy outlived Terra as a distinct grouping: its departure collapsed the Council of Canyon Kingdoms on 23 Nov 2019.[5]

The Luna–Terra war

The war for the map ran 7–19 Sep 2019: over 2,000 attacks across 322 territories in ten days — a genuine full-map war, with only 37% of the fighting on the usual free-for-all hotspots.[2] The Simple Ones defected from Luna to Terra on 8 Sep, and Terra took map control the same day; Kingdom Foxes left Luna on the 18th and Luna collapsed.[1] The decisive action was a weekend raid intended only to take Imperial's land, which instead "ended in nearly six hours and resulted in the complete wipe of all Luna guilds except Kingdom Foxes", Arkada wrote[4], followed on 14 Sep by a Luna counter-raid that Terra repelled.[6]

Dispersal and fall

A week after victory, on 15 Sep 2019, Terra's core — Kingdom Foxes, DiamondDeities, Titans Valor, The Simple Ones, Fantasy, Phantom Hearts and Empire of Sindria — founded the Council of Canyon Kingdoms.[5] Paladins United departed at Artemis's founding on 30 Oct.[5] Terra itself fell on 2 Nov 2019, seven weeks after taking the map; on 10 Nov its fragments launched one final raid on the newborn Artemis.[7]

Membership

Terra's founding roster was never recorded[1]; only The Simple Ones' membership is directly documented — it joined hours after leaving Luna. The other recorded members each mounted 100 or more attacks on Luna during the decisive September war.[2]

Terra ended the last period of single-alliance map control in 2019 and seeded what came next: its core formed the Council of Canyon Kingdoms, and Paladins United left it to co-found Artemis, the alliance that would anchor the following era.[5]
